The hard part’s over. You submitted your query online, skipped the meandering salesman pitch, picked your new windows, and scheduled the installation. Now the big day’s finally here.
So, what should you expect?
At Supreme Windows, we believe that getting new windows should feel exciting, not overwhelming. We treat your home with respect, work efficiently, and keep things as clean as we found them (if not cleaner). Still, we know that anytime someone’s working inside your space, it helps to know what’s coming.
Here’s a simple walkthrough of what installation day really looks like with no surprises, just peace of mind.
Step 1: A Friendly Hello and a Quick Walkthrough
When our crew arrives, we don’t just show up and start swinging tools.
We knock. We introduce ourselves. Then we walk through the home with you to review the job: how many windows we’re installing, what order we’ll go in, and how long we expect things to take.
It’s also the perfect time to ask any last-minute questions or point out anything special we should be aware of (like an alarm sensor or a fragile window treatment you forgot to take down).
If you’ve got pets, this is your cue to keep them safe and cozy in another room.
Step 2: Prepping the Workspace
Before a single window is installed, we prepare the area.
That means laying down drop cloths to protect your flooring and gently moving furniture if it’s too close to the work zone. We’ll never treat your home like a construction site—we treat it like it’s ours.
If you haven’t already removed blinds, curtains, or wall art near your windows, don’t worry. We’re happy to help with that, too.
Step 3: Out with the Old
Once the space is ready, we begin removing your old windows one by one.
Each opening is carefully inspected for signs of damage, including rot, moisture, or frame issues. If anything’s not right, we’ll take care of it before we move forward. We don’t cut corners, and we don’t rush past problems.
This part can get a little noisy, but it moves quickly. Most window openings are prepped and ready within minutes.
Step 4: In with the New
Now comes the best part: your new windows go in.
Each window is set, leveled, and secured into place. We make sure the fit is snug, the sash opens smoothly, and the lock lines up perfectly. Then we insulate the frame and seal every edge tight, so nothing gets in (or out) that shouldn’t.
Your trim will go back on, neat and clean, and your windows will already start making a difference. You’ll notice it in the sound, the light, and even the temperature.
Step 5: Clean-Up That Actually Feels Like Clean-Up
At Supreme Windows, we believe you shouldn’t have to clean up after your installers.
When we’re done, we’ll vacuum the area, haul away the old windows, and remove every scrap of debris we brought in. No wrappers, nails, or mystery dust hiding under your rug.
By the time we leave, the only evidence we were ever there will be your beautiful new windows.
Step 6: Final Walkthrough and Window 101
Before we wrap up, we’ll walk through the home with you one last time.
We’ll check each window together, make sure everything looks right and works right, and show you how to operate any features, like tilt-in cleaning or integrated locks.
You’ll know how to use your windows, how to maintain them, and who to call if you ever need anything (hint: it’s us).
